CHAOS AT ZPC F.C AS MANAGER SNATCHES TOP PLAYER’S GIRLFRIEND
ZPC Kariba Football Club team manager Paul Chimalizeni has been accused of snatching his player Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe’s girlfriend using financial muscle.
Popularly known as Popopo, Chimalizeni is reportedly at odds with scores of supporters who are demanding his withdrawal from the club as a result of his alleged conduct. Popopo is allegedly in a relationship with Lilian Mangwiro, a popular ZPC Kariba female fan who is Munyaradzi’s girlfriend.
Pictures of Popopo and Lilian have been circulating on social networks in the resort town but the ZPC Kariba boss professed ignorance over the matter.
“I am currently enjoying quality time with my wife here in Harare, I have no idea what you are talking about. I can’t comment on such issues,” he said.
When asked about the pictures, which are circulating on social networks, Popopo said they could have been doctored.
“I am surprised to learn of the pictures from you the media, the world is full of talented graphic designers who must have doctored me and Lilian.
“I am professional and I don’t want to implicate anyone but those pictures are not genuine.
“I have a good working relationship with Munya and I take him as a son just like most of the players at the club,” he said.
Contacted for comment, Lilian brushed off H-Metro.
“I don’t want to talk to you, do you even know what you are talking about,” she said before hanging her phone.
However, sources close to Lilian have confirmed the affair saying she is actually the one in the pictures with Popopo.
“Everything is true, those two have been in an affair for the past months and Popopo snatched Lilian from Munyaradzi because he is his boss.
“Actually, Lilian is a divorcee anotonzi amai Sheila and she left her husband for Munyaradzi and now ava kudanana naPopopo.
“I remember the day they took those pictures and there is no way that could be a work of Photoshop,” said the source.
The source also said the two have been publicly parading their relationship at popular joints in Kariba.
The ZPC Kariba left-back also confirmed the affair.
“I am hurt that someone who I trusted even with my personal problems would do this to me.
“He has been giving me a hard time during the last days of the season and I hear he is planning to make sure I leave the club,” said Kunyarimwe.
The young player also said this bad blood with Popopo has threatened his future at the club.
“Other players have already renewed their contracts and I haven’t been called in to discuss my future with the club.
“This is hurting me badly so I will just say, I don’t care about Lilian and I just want to play football.
“I hear he has also pushed for my exit and has told the executive that I am not talented,” he said.
