Chamisa Says MDC Alliance Will Never Impose Leaders Before Congress
MDC leader Nelson Chamisa has said the party will never impose leaders before next year’s congress.
According to political analyst Dr Pedzisai Ruhanya the youthful leader assured him there would be no imposition of leaders before the 2019 congress.
” I have just conversed with the MDC Alliance president @nelsonchamisa who told me unequivocally and reiterated that the MDC is a democratic political institution that will never impose any leader including the presidency and when
congress processes begin all posts will be open to contests,” tweeted Dr Ruhanya.
Chamisa has also dismissed claims by the state media that the presidential post will not be contested.
