Buyanga ordered to return son
High Court Judge Justice Manzunzu has ordered that businessman Frank Buyanga should return his son to his mother within.
24 hours, lest a warrant of arrest be issued against him. In the order granted yesterday, Justice Manzunzu ordered Buyanga to return the minor child to his mother Chantelle Tatenda Muteswa at Waterfalls Police Station within 24 hours of service.
The Registrar General was also ordered to surrender the minor child’s passport in his custody to the Registrar of the High Court within 24 hours of service. Failure to comply with the order, it shall serve as a warrant of arrest for Buyanga, throughout Zimbabwe for him to be brought before the court to show why he should not be found in contempt of court of this order.
The order was issued pending the determination of the appeal before the Supreme Court. The legal battle over custody and guardian-ship between Buyanga and Muteswa spiraled to the Supreme Court with the mother now contest-ing the High Court decision to grant the couple joint custody of their five-year-old son.
