Bev Speaks On Lavish Lifestyle Following Marriage

Beverly Sibanda

Controversial raunchy dancer and leader of the Sexy Angels dance group, Beverly ‘Bev’ Sibanda has revealed that she is being pampered by her husband so much that she is now gaining weight.

The self-styled “Queen of dance” who is known for her energetic performances on stage is now looking for a fitness trainer saying that her lavish lifestyle will negatively affect her stage performance.

Early this year, Bev sent social media into a frenzy after she got married to United Kingdom-based, Chambuka Mufudzi. Bev has insisted that she will continue dancing until she is ready for retirement.

ZiMetro News noted that Bev recently opened up about life after marriage saying that she is living a lavish lifestyle due to being pampered by her husband.

Speaking to state media, Bev said that she has no worries at all and has been reduced to watching television and surfing the internet due to the national lockdown.

“I have gained weight because I have nothing to do. I am only eating and sleeping these days.

“I am lucky because I have a loving husband who is taking great care of me. I do not have anything else to worry about.

I am actually worried about the comfort that is making me grow this big. I have tried to do a few exercises at home, but I failed to sustain the schedule. I am looking for a personal trainer who can take me through the exercises every day.”

Bev also said that she is feeling sorry for her fellow dancers because they are unable to work during the national lockdown. She bemoaned that music promoters who have now moved to online concerts are neglecting dancers and only focusing on musicians.

“I feel sorry for my fellow dancers. I think getting married was actually a blessing because I could have been suffering right now. There are no shows for dancers and there is little income for artistes across genres.

“I am a blessed Bev. I could quit dancing forever because I am having a good life, but I am in love with my trade and I will resume shows when everything gets back to normal.

“I am only worried about my weight at the moment because I know I will not last long on stage. Dancing needs serious fitness and that is why.”

The dancer also said that Mufudzi had spoiled her for her 34th birthday in April. According to the dancer, the birthday was so lavish that it would have made headlines if it was not for the national lockdown.

“I had planned a serious birthday bash, but the lockdown changed everything.

“I wanted to have a historic party. It would have been the talk of town. However, I still enjoyed the treat I had from my husband. He sent me some money and I spoiled myself on the day. I had a good time with my son.

“We spent about two hours on the phone with my husband and I enjoyed myself as we celebrated the day. It was one of the best birthdays in my life.”

When reached for comment, Mufudzi said that he fully supported his wife and was eagerly looking forward to Bev’s retirement when the two will finally be able to stay together.

“I have known her as a dancer for a long time and I will support her art until she decides to retire from the stage. I will keep supporting her with everything she needs.

“I want her to be happy and I am looking forward to a time when we can be together under one roof.”
