Bev Sibanda testifies – “Mai Titi is Heaven Sent”
Dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda has testified that comedienne Mai TT is a “heaven-sent and real life skills” coach.
The 28-year-old hailed Mai TT as a pillar of her life in recent weeks after she gave herself a shoulder to lean on.
Bev is grounded in lockdown and struggling to pay rentals.
She also grabbed headlines after sharing her financial problems with Mai TT as she accused her overseas husband Chambuka Mufudzi of cheating on her as well as abandoning his fatherly duties back in Zimbabwe.
After crying on Facebook live, Bev won a lot of sympathisers and one of them who gave her the shoulder was Mai TT.
“Mai TT has the heart of gold and she has been there for me as a big sister and I will always appreciate the good things she has done for me.
“I felt relieved when I shared my problems with her because right now people now understand that I am also human with feelings despite how some people portrayed me,” she said.
In recent weeks, the Sexy Angels boss conceded she has been finding the going tough after losing her source of income.
“We used on shows and with this ban aimed at containing the spread of Covid-19, we need to find other avenues and this is what Mai TT has been teaching me.
“I have learnt to be a responsible woman who should use her influence to start business and stop replying on one source of revenue.
“If all go according to plan, I intend to open some business later this week and I will be into cosmetics and the selling of lotions.
“I have been to her office and shop where I was taught to really work hard and stop relying on one source of income,” she said.
Like most of her peers in the creative sector who have since diversified in other fields, Bev has just started some new path entrepreneurship for survival.
Fellow divas like Diana “Mangwenya” Samkange have since branched into farming where she is selling dairy products under the Mangwenya Brand.
Her brothers in showbiz, like Mathias, have since ventured into farming, while others like Jah Prayzah have long ventured into property development.
With the creative sector still closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many players in the field have been diversifying to ensure they bring food to the table during lockdown.
