ARMY TAKEOVER | In the wake of D’day in Zimbabwe where the Zimbabwe National Army made a sudden announcement in the wee hours of the morning that they had actively taken matters in their own hands in a bid to weed out criminal & enemies of the state surrounding Mugabe, things took a downward spiral from then one.
With the generals having forewarned the people that they are ‘done talking’ it was all action from there, starting with rumored the raids and arrests of prominent cabinet ministers and members of the now infamous G40 faction. Among them was police commissioner Augustine Chihuri who is also believed to have been detained by the army.
Chihuri crossed swords with the army following reports that he had made attempts to arrest army general Chiwenga on his way back from China and tried to intervene in the ZBC takeover by the army.
Members of the police were disarmed and frogmarched by the army this morning in a move to prove that indeed the military has taken over.
Below is an image showing how far the army is willing to go achieve their mission.
