Ammara Brown talks about being tested for HIV.
In an interview with H-Metro, Ammara said. I have definitely been tested for HIV many many times when I was in South Africa. Contemporary musician, Ammara Brown has called for people to get regularly tested for HIV/AIDS and Cancer. She went on to say that she has been getting tested regularly ever since she turned 18.

So the practice at that time became less about the stigma, but more about knowing and digging into the information like what does the CD4 count mean. Later when I became sexually active, it became a practice that after every six months I get tested.
