37 PREGNANT SCHOOL GIRLS EXPELLED!
Tanzanian school officials are expelling 37 school girls who have fallen pregnant this year – including two primary school girls.
According to The Citizen, authorities in Bunda District, northern Tanzania have failed to track down even one man responsible for impregnating the young girls.
District Commissioner for Bunda, Lydia Bupilipili is quoted in the report as saying: “Village leaders, police and parents of the impregnated girls are solving pregnant cases ‘amicably’, which amounts to collusion.”
Bupilipili said that everyone was involved in keeping the identity of the men secret, including teachers, parents, village leaders and the cops.
“Impregnated school girls have been mentioning men responsible for making them pregnant but the matter is covered up through bribes and no legal action is taken,” she said.
